Overview
A client placed a custom order with us for an infant bathtub. In the initial design, the drainage holes at the bottom of the tub were specified at 6mm in diameter.
Client Request
During the project, the client advised us that the bathtub would not pass the required safety inspection with the 6mm holes, and requested that the drainage holes be reduced from 6mm to 4.5mm to ensure compliance.
What We Did
Following the client's advice, we immediately proceeded with the mold modification:
- Adjusted the mold to change the drainage hole diameter from 6mm to 4.5mm.
- Confirmed the revised hole specification before production to ensure precision and consistency.
- Re-verified the updated product against the client's requirement and shared the revised samples for approval.
Outcome
The modified bathtub successfully passed the inspection requirement, and production went ahead as scheduled. The client appreciated our quick response and willingness to act on their feedback.
